經過兩個月在「井」的駐村創作，三位藝術家 Simon、Anthony 與 Signe 以全新完成的「火車窯」柴燒作品，呈現他們在台灣期間的創作表現。作品以來自台灣、日本等地的多種陶土製作，透過柴燒高溫變化，使灰燼、強烈火痕與自然垂墜的釉色在表面凝結，構成柴燒帶來的原始與自然面貌，展現獨具特色、色彩層次豐富的視覺效果。

透過身體性的勞動與不懈的創作精神，＇＇FIRE & FORMosa＇＇ 不僅是柴燒與陶作的展現，更象徵藝術家親手建造窯、創造作品，以及化駐村生活為創作靈感的旅程。展現火、土與人彼此回應的語言。

After two months of residency at Jing Clay Art Formosa, artists Simon, Anthony, and Signe present a new body of wood-fired works created in the newly completed train kiln. Using a variety of clays sourced from Taiwan, Japan, and beyond, their pieces reveal the raw and natural beauty unique to wood firing—where ash deposits, intense flame markings, and naturally cascading glazes fuse onto the surface through the transformative power of high heat, resulting in rich layers of color and distinctive visual textures.

Through physical labor and unwavering creative spirit, the artists have grown together with us within the environment of Jing’s residency program.

“FIRE & FORMosa” is not only an exhibition of wood firing and ceramic art, but also a journey that reflects the artists’ hands-on construction of the kiln, the creation of their works, and the inspirations drawn from their residency experiences. We warmly invite everyone to experience the dialogue between fire, clay, and the human hand.
